The project involves upgrading the existing 2-lane road with paved shoulders into a 4-lane elevated road and a 4-lane at-grade road. Covering a total length of 53.2 km, it connects Talegaon, Chakan, and Shikrapur. With a current traffic load of 40,839 PCU/day, the project aims to improve capacity and connectivity. Tolling will follow NHAI policy, and 38.79 hectares of land will be acquired. The estimated cost is ₹6,150 crore, and NHAI has handed over the DPR to MSIDC.
